girl talk.

"My regular, please."  That consisted of an egg & cheese bagel sandwich on sesame along with my large hazelnut coffee from DD.  Being the asian that I am, of course I got the large coffee...and of course, being the asian that I am, I always drank all of it.  That began my coffee addiction.

Random, but not out of character I suppose, I approached her and started a somewhat awkward conversation.  She chatted back.  To be honest, I was surprised.  Perhaps with all those stereotypical childhood stories (and memories), I always found it difficult to befriend a pretty girl, being a not-so-cool one myself.  But S was different, she was super nice.  "I'm from Toronto," she said.  Ooh....That's why

She became my closest friend during my two years out on the east coast.  We somehow survived the Xs, the Ys, and the Zs.  We laughed, we cried, and we partied for the good and the bad.  We learned from Samantha, shared similar ambitions as Miranda, cried for Charlotte, and lived like Carrie (minus the shoes).  At our graduation, even the school-journal photographer captured a picture of us hugging (Yes, that's me).

We spent the last labor day weekend reliving the good times, hitting the SF nightlife with just us girls, staying up late, and talking about everything...if only my friends were closer.

the cupcake war.

I'm not sure which one won, but they're all going to be eaten up at some point.

Good times. New memories.

It was the first day of 7th grade when she came up to me and said, "Can I have lunch with you?"  Ever since then, we've been friends forever.  Best friends, I might add.

I couldn't get away from work.  What was supposed to be a 4-day weekend turned into something shy of 3.  Shame on me.  My boss even tried to get me out of the office.  I subjected my out-of-townie-friends to the confines of office 232 during a hectic call, but only to look up and find them playing hangman.  Heh.  I laughed out loud.  Thankfully, the person on the other line had a great sense of humor.  I'm going to leave it on the board to remind myself to "chillax" (courtesy of bigdenis).

So we took advantage of a beautiful Friday to see the Big Basin Redwoods.  D and I somehow convinced G to take the 11.5+ mile hike.  What was supposed to be a 6 hour hike turned into 5, only because we were pacing fairly quickly at the end.  There were no port-a-potties in sight, either.

About 1.5-hours into admiring His creation, a couple approaching us in the opposite direction tried to discourage us from going any further.  Apparently, a redwood had fallen and blocked the trail.  Of course we were THRILLED!

That same night, we went into the city to get a little dancing in our system!  Wahoo!  Boy was I tired.  It was a random weekend, with a random crowd...even J*wizzle came out with us!!!  Nevertheless, one of the best I've had in a long time.  I'm always this crazy psycho girl when I see my best friend and I LUV IT!
